The Bremer Achter Cup (aka Bremen Eights Cup) is a regatta held in Bremen on 12th-13th September 2009, intended for top club, university and international crews, in six classes from junior and mixed to senior and veteran. This PDF link has all the details of the regatta, which involves a 4.2km head race followed by a 400m sprint knock-out right in the city centre between banks packed with crowds.
This competition offers the chance for a crew to win a free trip to the Bremer Achter Cup, excluding flights or other travel to Bremen
PRIZES
Two equal prizes will be awarded, one to a men's eight and one to a women's eight, either club or university crews
Free accommodation for the crew + coach during the regatta weekend
Free catering for the crew + coach
Free loan of a Filippi boat if necessary, for use during the regatta
Free loan of Concept2 racing oars if necessary for use during the regatta
Free shuttle transport around the town while staying in Bremen
Free party entry for the crew and their supporters
Free Bremen sightseeing tour
(Please note that flights or other travel to/from Bremen are NOT included in the prize)
HOW TO ENTER
Fill in the quiz below and the accompanying details, and submit it before the end of July
All four quiz questions must be answered or the entry is invalid
Full contact details are necessary in order for the competition organisers to contact the winning crews
Entry signifies that you are able to supply a full crew to race at the regatta, and that the crew will be of the declared gender and type
In the event of more than one entry with correct answers, the winners will be decided by random draw carried out by the jury of the organising committee
The winning crews will be notified no later than 5th August
