One proved positive, an American at Royal Canadian Henley Regatta who tested positive for pseudoephedrine from a cold cure and was disqualified. The use of the drug was confirmed as inadvertent and FISA issued a reprimand. Thirty-eight federations replied to the survey. They carried out 1449 tests (657 at regattas, 792 out of competition). FISA's testing figures are 163 (93 at regattas and 70 out of competition).
