- An article about the long-distance race in Schleswig-Holstein this weekend, which large chunks of the British squad are attending. You should have seen Pinsent & Cracknell's faces last weekend when they were reminded about it: "that makes 2km seem a doddle", they said, about half an hour after collecting their latest World gold medals...
- There's a new beastie called RowYo, described as "rowing machine cadence training software". Demo and workout sessions available for download now (PC format).

- I've done a medals table and Worlds results summary (without times) for today's Worlds racing. Six new record times were set, including the top four crews in the M4- smashing both the Norwegian record and the Danish LM4- record which has been inside it for three years, plus Cracknell and Pinsent taking four seconds off the time set by Pinsent with Redgrave in 1994. Roumiana Neykova chopped a similar chunk off the women's singles, and both the women's double and pair times went too. Marcel Hacker toppled Rob Waddell's men's singles record by 0.35 seconds.

- The RowCycling European Championships are being held this coming weekend. Link is to an English information page on the www.rowingbike.com site, and there's an article in Dutch on NLRoei together with pictures.
